Fifty years ago a handful of peace advocates (including Kirkridge founder John O. Nelson) gath-ered with the contemplative monk and writer Thomas Merton to discuss the “spiritual roots” that nurtured their calling and shaped their actions. Over the last years, Gordon Oyer has been studying the conversations that took place between these peace advocates at Gethsemani Abbey many years ago.
