Rediscovering Advent 2015

November 23, 2015 - November 29, 2015
Tatamagouche NS
Canada

Nov 23 – Dec 8, 2014 Mon 10:00 AM – Mon 4:00 PM $50.00
This retreat will help participants to find the new in what is otherwise a very old story. As we unpack the same well-worn seasonal decorations, it’s easy to fall back into a routine approach to the birth of Jesus every year. Let us instead challenge ourselves to look beyond the familiar routine and search for something new in the age-old story. We will explore new ways to sing, preach, and pray on our Advent journey. Participants can look forward to singing together, creating new stories, building and sharing ideas to help reinvigorate and inspire your spirit for the busy season ahead.

Program Cost: $50 (tuition, lunch)
Please register at least 2 weeks in advance to secure your place in this program.

Sara and David Campbell

Sara and David Campbell

Sara and David began their journey to ministry many years ago as participants in Maritime Conference Youth Forum, where they experienced calls to ministry and they’ve never looked back.

Sara Campbell graduated from Emmanuel College in 2012 with a Masters of Sacred Music degree. She has a passion for congregational singing and helping people to discover their own voice, no matter their age or ability. She also finds joy in helping congregations explore new musical opportunities, whether it be discovering new hymns or supporting the creation of worship bands.

David Campbell serves the congregation of Bridgewater United Church of Canada on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. He graduated from The Atlantic School of Theology and was ordained by Maritime Conference in 2014. David is passionate about intergenerational work in the church. He is a keen student of preaching and creative styles of worship.
