Practices of Leadership

May 2, 2013 - May 4, 2013
Offered by Naramata Centre
Naramata VOH 1NO BC
Canada

with Janet McDonald & Ian Fraser May 2 to 4, 2013

Confidence and integrity in leading self, others or organizations requires new practices of leadership. What do I have? What do I need? What are the key questions? Leadership practices are strategic interventions that help accomplish collective work. Rather than mechanistic procedures, these are patterns of action that emerge through experimentation and in struggling day-to-day with challenges that have no ready solution. Come and examine practices of leadership for your context in these times of unprecedented change.

Janet practices adaptive leadership at Naramata Centre – a 65 year old organization, steeped in tradition and memory, and being called to a new frontier to serve as an incubator for leaders in a community starved culture

Ian draws on years of leading in the public sector and The United Church of Canada and now coaches leaders in organizations focused on the common good.
