February 13-14, 2014 Orientation to Intentional Interim Ministry Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center

Open to all pastors and congregation leaders who wish to examine and build upon their experience of pastor as leader in our rapidly changing congregational cultures. The primary focus will involve learning to utilize Adaptive Leadership Skills within a given context. Identifying issues as either problems to solve or as ongoing concerns requiring adaptations that will be addressed.

This course is for pastors in multi-pastor church staffs and solo pastorates. Non-ordained congregational leaders are also welcome. If you are a trained and experienced interim pastor, this curriculum aptly supplements interim ministry insights gained in training programs prior to 2007.

Among the populace, the word interim is used loosley to cover a variety of leadership needs during the time between the departure of conventional pastor/leader and the arrival of the new conventionally-called pastor and/or professional lay leader. This seminar will provide an opportunity for pastors/leaders to explore some key differences between giving attention to the past/present and giving attention to the leadership qualities that address the future for the congregation or organization you serve. Here is a great opportunity to contemplate with experienced professionals your ideas, ambitions and aspirations in consideration of a future commitment to an extended period of study and learning which may open doors for focused future leadership in the changing 21st century.
