The Leadership Series provides opportunities for leaders to gain competency and confidence in their practice of leadership. The series encompasses a number of different initiatives, varying in focus and time commitment. Some will be responsive to locally identified concerns and delivered locally, others will be offered in partnership with Naramata Centre.

The context in which the church seeks to minister is in the midst of profound change – a cliché that nonetheless proves true.

Much current discussion about the future of the church focuses upon the challenges the church now faces – decrease in financial and human resources, radically changing technologies, morphing worldviews and ministry that understands and spans cultures.

Leaders can feel overwhelmed emotionally, inadequate in their practices of leadership and spiritually paralyzed. The church wants and needs effective, faith-based and joyful leaders able to engage the church, the world God loves and their own personal growth.

FOUNDATIONS … something solid to build upon

The Foundations component provides opportunity for leaders to engage core practices for leadership as the next chapter of the story of the church unfolds. Foundations is a requirement for Transitions

SUPERVISION … the Ministry of Supervision

This program builds on the Foundations component, additional study and reflections prior to the Supervision module. Practical, immediately useful, concrete steps and resources for supervising staff or students in your congregation or workplace. Participants receive a $300 grant for tuition from the General Council.

This series is presented by BC Conference and Naramata Centre.
