Jonathan Daniels to Be Commemorated as a Present-Day Martyr Monday, June 15, 2015 Canterbury Cathedral, London, England

To honor the 50th anniversary of Jonathan Daniels’s murder, ETS alumnus Peter Selby ’66 is helping to organize a public commemoration of Daniels’s life and work, to be held on the afternoon and evening of June 15, 2015, in Canterbury Cathedral in London, England.

Included is a lecture and discussion, followed by Choral Evensong and a pilgrimage to the chapel in the Cathedral where the book of martyrs of our time resides, and in which Jonathan Daniels is named.

The event coincides with the annual conference of seminarians from the Anglican Communion worldwide, so that they can join in reflecting on what one seminarian was called to. The following morning there will be a seminar at which the seminarians and visitors will reflect on Jonathan’s life, death, and legacy.
Peter Selby is hoping for a strong contingent of PDS, ETS, and EDS alumni/ae at the event. If you would like to attend, please contact Peter via email at: [email protected].
