To Deepen and Strengthen the Practice of Group Spiritual Direction
April 7-10, 2013
For those who are currently engaged in or offering group spiritual direction and want to enhance their practice as facilitators or participants, this conference/retreat is an intentional opportunity to—
• Experience group spiritual direction each day;
• Fine tune the foundation of this practice through reviewing key elements and addressing questions and concerns;
• Learn about and share the variety of ways that people are using group spiritual direction; and
• Be inspired regarding the possibilities that emerge from the use of this practice.
The rhythm of our time together will include mornings for group spiritual direction and advanced learning discussion; free and silent afternoons; and optional sessions in the evenings for addressing leadership issues/questions and for envisioning ways this contemplative practice can transform our families, neighborhood, communities and the world. All of this will happen in a relaxed and spacious way, allowing for the chance to experience group spiritual direction as a personal practice with plenty of solitude and time in the beauty and quiet of the Shenandoah Valley.
