Experience Godly Play in a collegial, non-judgmental and prayerful atmosphere. Learn how to create a Godly Play environment, build your understanding of the spirituality of children, improve skills, clarify Godly Play’s foundations, and leave spiritually refreshed.
Godly Play is a method of faith formation primarily for children ages 3-12. Bodily play allows children to experience and incorporate religious language, parable, sacred story, and liturgical action to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence around them and in their lives. The stories highlight the seasons of the church year and each session integrates components of a worship celebration.
You must be present for the entire training.
Program Cost: $385 ($230 + $155 meals/accommodations)
Leadership
Janice MacLean
Janice MacLean is the Maritime Conference Minister for Christian Nurture and Enrichment, and an accredited Godly Play Teacher.
Anne Pirie
Anne Pirie has been captivated by Godly Play experiences as a Storyteller, a learner and a workshop leader. Recently retired as a Social Worker, Anne is now engaged in the ministry of faith formation in her home congregation in Sackville, NB.
Shawn Redden
Shawn is a United Church minister with a long involvement in and commitment to Youth Ministry.
