The Montreal School of Theology
Invites Lay Leaders and Ministers to participate in:
THE GLOBAL EXPOSURE TRIP to CUBA
JANUARY 3-11, 2015
This annual study tour introduces participants to vibrant and hope-inspiring church and community groups in Cuba—organizations that work for peace, justice, and social transformation.
Participants will meet with leaders, youth, community groups, churches, theological students, and more. Discover the rich fabric of Cuban culture, history, and society; and experience the warmth of Cuban hospitality.
Visits to Matanzas, Varadero, Havana, and small rural communities will offer insight not just about the church in Cuba but provide opportunity for reflection on how we might engage in mission in our own faith communities.
Cost: Approximately $2,200 and includes flights, meals and all accommodations. (Participants are responsible for their own vaccinations that are required for the trip.)
Applications and a $500 deposit must be received by September 30th, 2014.
Applicants will also be encouraged to raise $250 for medical kits (valued at $5,000) as part of our mission with the Cuban church.
To apply please contact Jeannette Vink, at the Montreal School of Theology for the application form and for further information.
Leaders for the trip will be Dr. Dale Woods, Principal of the Presbyterian College and Dr. Alyson Huntly, Director of Pastoral Studies of the United Theological College.
