Overview

Have others approached you to talk about spiritual concerns, asking you to help them discover, understand, and respond to the presence and action of the Divine in their personal, relational, or professional lives? Have you felt a desire to grow deeper in your own spiritual journey in community as you discern if and how the Spirit may be inviting you to the ministry of Spiritual Direction and/or Spiritual Leadership? In this workshop we will explore: (1) aspects of the what, who, when, where, how, and why’s of spiritual direction and leadership; (2) practices in the art of contemplative noticing, listening, discerning, and responding to the Spirit’s leading in your own and others’ journeys; and (3) how spiritual direction and leadership knowledge and skills can deepen your relationship with God, others, self and creation as well as enhance your current profession or ministry. Participants are encouraged to stay overnight at Martina Spiritual Renewal Center in order to deepen community, prayer, and the practices of discernment and spiritual direction.
