Overview

This course will equip church leaders with the understanding of the significance of Strategic Planning in congregations. Strategic Planning is an intentional process by which congregational leaders identify future priorities for their congregation based on its mission and take the steps necessary to implement those priorities into the life of the congregation. This course will guide leaders to necessary conversations with members to lead to faithful mission and ministry within their context.

Speaker

Ed White has served as an Alban consultant since 1989. In his long and distinguished career he has served as General Presbyter for the National Capital Presbytery of the PCUSA and was at various times chair of the Alban Institute’s board of trustees, president of the Council of Churches of Greater Washington, president of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, and President of the Society for Advancement of Continuing Education for Ministry (SACEM).
