CHRISTIAN FORMATION CONFERENCE — Faith Stories: A Life in the Spirit

June 11, 2012 – June 15, 2012

OPTIONAL NETWORKING DAY: JUNE 10

Only have time for a little bit of Kanuga? Attend June 11-13 for a great mix of adult, children and youth workshops.

Stay the week to get the full benefit of Kanuga’s Christian Formation Conference, plus a rate incentive!

Story is at the heart of our faith and religious teachings. We seek ways to share our faith experience and explore images of God that will lead people to a life in the spirit and toward who they might become.

So how do we give children, youth and adults the tools and experiences to navigate theology and spirituality? How do we as adults reclaim our story, which leads us toward a spirit-filled life?

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN:

•Practical, take-home resources for leading faith formation programs for all ages
•Tools for building a unique curriculum that truly fits your parish
•More than 30 workshops on topics including time management, art as a holy craft, games for children and tweens, biblical storytelling, Godly play, technology as a ministry tool and planning a mission trip
•Networking, support and encouragement from some of the Church’s best Christian educators
•Time to nourish your own spiritual development with respite, renewal and play

As with all Kanuga summer conferences, you can make this week a mountain vacation for the whole family. While parents attend sessions, young people participate in their own programs directed by our carefully selected staff in a safe and fun Christian environment. Programs for young people will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, June 11.

Spouses can fish, hike, play tennis or nearby golf, relax on the porch or by the lake and visit area attractions. The whole family can spend time together in the afternoons and evenings.
