BTS – International Accompaniment Training 2012

Jun 24 – Jun 27, 2012

Sun 7:00 PM – Wed 1:00 PM

$535.00

International Accompaniment involves providing a non-violent international presence in areas of conflict to communities and individuals who have requested it due to threats and intimidation they face for the work they do. This training helps participants develop and deepen their understanding of accompaniment and human rights in Guatemala and Honduras. Involving role-playing, self-reflection and open discussion, the training allows participants to evaluate themselves to see if they are suitable for this type of volunteer work. For more background information and for the application form for Guatemala accompaniment please go to http://www.breaking-the-silence.ca/accompaniment.htm or e-mail Janelle Frail at [email protected]. For more background information and for the application form for Honduras accompaniment please go to: http://friendshipamericas.org/honduras or e-mail Jenny Atlee at [email protected].

Program Cost: $535 we are working on fundraising to reduce the program cost.
