Family transitions offer us an opportunity to think deeply about what God desires for families and to care creatively for parents and children who are living in the challenges of divorce, single parenting, and remarriage. In this course we will discuss ways to:

help parents protect their children while navigating the painful changes of divorce themselves

respond to the wide range of single parents and their different needs

implement a developmental approach to stepfamily adjustment

develop biblically grounded ministry responses to family changes

help congregations welcome families in transition
