Now accepting applications through May 20, 2016.
Description: In this pilgrimage we will explore the Desert Southwest in northern New Mexico and engage many of the diverse spiritual traditions that settled there. Daily excursions will include communities such as Monastery of Christ in the Desert, Chimayo, Dar al Islam Mosque, Taos Hanuman Temple, and Taos, Santa Clara, and Tesuque Pueblos. We will be staying at Ghost Ranch in a private lodge, Casa Del Sol.
This pilgrimage is jointly sponsored by Columbia and Pittsburgh Theological Seminaries and will include leaders and participants from both programs.
Participants must have completed Immersion Experience, and several electives to apply. Preference will be given to those who have completed all coursework but the Pilgrimage.
Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Ghost Ranch and should plan to arrive on November 1, 2016 by 5:00 PM. November 2 will be a day for introductions, rest, and orientation. The pilgrimage is designed for spiritual formation and renewal. We will make excursions on most days, and include time for rest, small groups, journaling, and daily worship. We will also have several days on Ghost Ranch for Sabbath, hiking, art, and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. You will be assigned readings before the journey and reflection papers on return.
Participants will be notified of acceptance to the pilgrimage by June 1, 2016.
