2014 Annual Edith and John Hans Low-Beer Memorial Lecture

The lecture will be held at the Oscar Peterson Concert Hall at Concordia University, Loyola Campus, 7141 Sherbrooke West, on Thursday, October 30 at 7pm.

This year’s keynote speaker is Stéphane Grenier, retired Lt. Col who experienced PTSD first-hand when he came back from a 10-month deployment to Rwanda. Stéphane used his painful experience to develop a peer support program that helped to facilitate the recovery of thousands of comrades-in-arms and their families. He then went on to lead the development of Peer Support Accreditation and Certification (Canada) with the aim of recognizing and including peer support as an integral component of mental health care.
