Friday night will be an overview of the topic and a stand-alone evening. On Saturday Cynthia will delve further into the topic and have time for questions and answers. We highly recommend attending both days.
The Gerald May Seminar is offered in memory of the life and legacy of Gerald (Jerry) May, Shalem’s Senior Fellow for Contemplative Theology and Psychology, and to strengthen the great themes of contemplative understanding and practice that Jerry so valued.

Cynthia Bourgeault is an Episcopal priest who leads lectures, workshops, and retreats across the U.S. She is the author of numerous other books, including Chanting the Psalms, The Wisdom of Jesus, Centering Prayer and Inner Awakening and most recently, The Meaning of Mary Magdalene: Discovering the Woman at the Heart of Christianity.
The Gerald May Seminar is offered in memory of the life and legacy of Gerald (Jerry) May. Jerry served on Shalem’s staff for many years and was our Senior Fellow for Contemplative Theology and Psychology. The Seminar is held every year to strengthen the great themes of contemplative understanding and practice that Jerry so valued.
