The Oxford Centre for Mission Studies

Welcome to OCMS

The Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS) exists to equip leaders, nurture scholars and enable institutions for ministry particularly in the Two-Thirds world churches

It was founded in 1983 by a network of senior mission theologians from Africa, Asia and Latin America with their partners in the West ( The International Fellowship of Evangelical Mission Theologians – INFEMIT) and works as their study and research centre.

OCMS offers a unique opportunity for advanced study based in the context of mission leading to Ph.D, MPhil research degrees and a number of taught Masters programmes delivered in Oxford and through partner institutions around the world. The website has full details of our programmes and application forms and partner institutions where these courses are also offered.

The website also offers fruits of our study and research through abstracts of research studies, our quarterly journal Transformation with a full index and a free article each quarter, links to Regnum Books, the INFEMIT Publication House which publishes material from the two-thirds world church on wholistic mission and to over 1400 mission related websites to resource mission study and reflection.

We hope that in your calling to serve Jesus Christ and be an instrument of his kingdom in the world the OCMS website is a helpful resource.
