L’Arche is an international federation of faith-based communities creating homes and day programs with people who have development disabilities.
Founded in 1964 by Jean Vanier. The name L’Arche is French for “The Ark”, as in “Noah’s Art”, the biblical symbol of deliverance, and of God’s covenant with humanity.
L’Arche is now a world-wide organization with more than 100 communities in nearly 30 countries.
