Introducing justgeneration.ca

A PWRDF Youth Initiative

WE LIVE In desperate times. Enviromental devastation, global injustice, poverty and war seem to be winning the day. As youth, it can be easy to lose hope. Some days it seems easier to raise our hands in surrender and do nothing in the face of it all.

Is it possible to make a real difference in the world? Is another world of love, justice and peace really possible? Can God’s reign really come on earth? Is it possible to live as more than a number and more than a consumer? Can we make changes in our lives and affect the policies that our leaders make? Is it possible to live in real partnership with people across the world?

As justgeneration.ca, we believe that the Gospel of Jesus calls us to another way. YES! We do see hope in these desperate times! justgeneration.ca is all about concrete ways for youth and young adults to get active around PWRDF’s work in global justice, development and relief, HIV and AIDS, refugees, peace, and the environment.

justgeneration.ca is PWRDF’s youth initiative. The initiative was launched in 2000 with a focus on education, networking and getting youth and young adults active and involved around global development issues. After a two-year absence in the youth staff position, Rob Shearer was hired in September 2006. Since then, Rob, the Youth Council and the PWRDF Public Engagement Team have been supporting Canadian Anglican youth to get more involved in development issues to bringing about “another world” and “God’s reign on Earth!”

As we continue to listen and grow – we invite you to join us.

justgeneration.ca is one way to get engaged and make real changes around issues that matter the most. We are young Canadian Anglicans ages 16- 30 – and we believe that through prayer, action and giving, another world is possible!
