The International Anglican Women’s Network was formed in 1996 following a consultation convened by the Anglican Consultative Council and funded by the Mother’s Union and the United Thank Offering of the Episcopal Church Women of the Episcopal Church of the United States.

Our Mission Statement encompasses our values, purposes, and our way forward.

Values:

We are inclusive of age, race, culture, language, education, economic status, and sexual orientation. We are informative. We are rooted in prayer. We are committed to serving and strengthening the Communion. We strive for solidarity.

Purposes:

We endeavour to communicate. We affirm and encourage the role of women in the Church. We support the awareness of needs. We respond to issues from a women’s perspective. We are a resource to the Anglican Consultative Council.

The Way Forward Will Include:

Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action; Ensuring that the needs and concerns of women are heard; Improvement of Communication.
