Testament of a Naked Man: The Good News According to Mark
A dramatic interpretation by Angus Stuart

The power of the Gospel according to Mark is brought to life in a dramatic one-man performance set in the poetic stillness of this sacred space.
Through this live encounter, the audience is transported back in time to be with Jesus on the dusty roads of Palestine and on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
Listeners will come away with a sense of not having ever heard these familiar stories before. Hearing the Gospel as a whole will enable us to be intellectually challenged and make connections in a new light.
Angus Stuart began by telling the story of Christ’s arrest, trial and crucifixion from memory on Palm Sunday in 2007. Then he was inspired to memorize the whole of Mark’s Gospel. The effect is dramatic!
Testament of a Naked Man: Good News According to Mark has been performed over sixty times across North America and in the United Kingdom beginning in October 2010 at St. Francis-in-the-Wood, West Vancouver where Angus Stuart is an Anglican Priest. Each performance takes approximately two hours and usually includes two short musical interludes.

Word of Light: Gospel of John in the Flesh is Angus’ latest project. The first performance was held in June 2016, a follow-up was at Christ Church Cathedral, Vancouver on Monday in Holy Week 2017. We are so pleased to be able to see this performance in Calgary. This production takes about two hours with a 20-minute intermission.

Tickets will go on sale January 1. During the month of January you can buy tickets for $15 for each performance or $25 for both. After February 1 they will no longer be available online but for $20 cash at the door.
