The Art of Transition: Interim Ministry Training, Week 1 – G18023
Explore skills, personal traits and commitments leading to effectiveness in the interim ministry specialty during this week of The Art of Transition: Interim Ministry Training, Week 1. Take time to discern whether the interim ministry is for you and begin to prepare. Learn to assist the congregation to address ecumenically recognized interim developmental tasks like coming to terms with history and shifts in leadership, among others. Participants will work individually and in groups to begin crafting accountability plans to care for themselves, for spiritual growth and self-care practices to ensure healthy, balanced and joyful ministry over the long haul.
This course is Week 1 (of 2) of Art of Transitional Ministry, taught through the Transitional Ministry Educational Consortium of the PC(USA) and is open to all clergy and congregational leaders of any denomination. The curriculum includes the basics of Interim Ministry theory, family systems theory, church conflict and contracting.
