In a time when many of us are called to activism, how can we draw upon our love and compassion to direct and sustain our efforts?

Based on the work of Joanna Macy, this workshop is designed to help transform fear and despair into inspiration and a sense of empowerment. We will explore gratitude, anger, grief, and hope and move into a deeper understanding of our own unique gifts.  We will, also, look at what divides us and rediscover our connectivity with all life.  Grounding our work in our relationship to the Earth, each of us will vision the way to create a more socially just, environmentally sustainable and spiritually fulfilling human presence on our planet.

This workshop is for long time activists as well as those who are exploring how to bring forth the beautiful world our hearts know is possible!

Led by Lynne Iser, MPH, has become more of an activist as she has grown older – and is committed to using her skills and resources to bring forth a more just and thriving world for all.  She is a longtime facilitator for the Pachamama Alliance, teaches conscious aging and community building, and is the founder of Elder-Activists.org.

Rabbi Mordechai Liebling is the founder and director of the Social Justice Organizing Program at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College of which he is a graduate.  Prior to this he was the Executive Vice-President of Jewish Funds for Justice. He has led workshops and retreats on the intersection of sustainability, social justice and spirituality.
