IMAGE: YOUTH MINISTRY IN A VISUAL AGE
About the Forum
For over 20 years, the Princeton Forum on Youth Ministry has gathered Christian leaders who are passionate about young people and the church. The Forum brings together rigorous academic training, rich networks of support, and praxis-oriented community building. Youth ministers, Christian educators, pastors, ministry innovators, and emerging scholars from the USA and beyond gather annually for this 4-day event on the campus of Princeton Theological Seminary. The annual Princeton Lectures on Youth, Church, and Culture are featured at the Forum, presenting fresh scholarship for the field of practical theology. This year, our theme is IMAGE. We will explore what it means to practice youth ministry in a visual age.
Come to learn.
Come to be challenged.
Come to grow.
Come to rest and worship with colleagues and collaborators.
Who is this conference for?
• Christian leaders who minister with young people
• Christian educators
• Chaplains who offer pastoral care to young people
• Volunteer youth ministry leaders and parents
• Emerging scholars who are exploring the intersection of innovation, theology, anthropology, sociology, and young people
About the Institute for Youth Ministry (IYM)
The IYM’s mission is to educate and equip Christian leaders and pastors in the theological task of ministry with young people. The IYM was founded in 1995 by the Rev. Dr. Kenda Creasy Dean, and is housed at Princeton Theological Seminary. The IYM bridges the academy and the church. We think that theological reflection and local transformation belong to each other. Our rich network of world-renowned youth ministry faculty and thought leaders are featured in our various events, Certificate in Youth and Theology program, and digital content. We would love to hear more about how your ministry might grow through a connection to the IYM.
