More Than a Pilgrimage:  Six-Week Program

The Six-Week program includes all of the elements mentioned in “The Tantur Experience.”  This program is designed to allow for its participants to have an extended period of time in the Holy Land during a quieter period with cooler climate, and yet still have all the excitement and activitiy of our One-Month Continuing Education Programs of the summer. A special component of the Six-Week program is a “pilgrimage within a pilgrimage” to the Negev and either the Sinai, where participants travel to Saint Catherine’s Monastery, or the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to experience Petra, and visit other important Biblical and archaeological sites.  This program also includes an extended Galilee tour and opportunities to meet Palestinian Christian families, some of which can trace their roots back to apostolic times, see village life and experience the proverbial Arab hospitality.  The Six-Week program offers its participants both an engaging schedule and time for personal reflection, rest and spiritual renewal, making it a popular choice for many clergy, members of religious communities and academic/educational professionals on sabbatical.
