FACE: Faith, Art and Creative Expression
August 17, 2014 – August 22, 2014
2014 Liturgical Arts Conference
Renewing the spirit. Enriching the mind. Inspiring hands and voices.
The 17th Liturgical Arts Conference will embody the work of the church and the individual expressions of our faith through our hands, eyes and voices. Participants may choose from classes in embroidery, photography, weaving, painting, choral singing, flower arranging and intermediate canvaswork. Discover or develop your personal creative abilities as you work, share and play in an encouraging Christian community.
Classes are led by some of the finest artisans in their fields, including Marion Scoular (embriodery), Robin Smith (photography), Louisa W. Rucker and Mary Sims (flower arranging), Neal Howard (weaving), Donna Stokes-Rogers (choral singing), Roger Hutchison (painting), and Marylyn Doyle (canvaswork and embroidery). Kits and supplies are provided by instructors at an additional cost.
During free time you are free to work on projects, nap, go for a hike, or simply relax in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
