The Wisdom Centre is pleased to announce that Dan Hines, Anglican Priest, political activist and facilitator, will be with us in Calgary, October 27-29, 2017.  Dan has been mentored by Parker J. Palmer and The Centre for Courage and Renewal and will be with us in Calgary to tell us more about the transforming power of circles of trust.

A Circle of Trust is distinguished from other ways of being together by principles and practices intended to create a process of safe space to nurture personal and professional integrity and the courage to act on it.  Dan will share about the trans-formative power of intentional small groups.

Saturday, October 28, 9:30-4:00 Workshop: Living a Whole Life: A Courage & Renewal Workshop (MAXIMUM 25 people for Saturday. REGISTER EARLY!)

Live a whole life.  Clarify and affirm your values in a Circle of Trust one day workshop.  Give your truth strength to flow out into your life and life’s work.  Be in alignment with your deepest values.  Explore issues of transition, vocation, life passion, purpose, meaning, direction, aging, relationships and underlying life patterns.

In a Circle of Trust, we are invited to slow down, listen and reflect in a quiet and focused space.  At the same time, we engage in dialogue with others in the circle – a dialogue about things that matter.  As this “sorting and sifting” goes on and we can clarify and affirm our truth in the presence of others, that truth is more likely to overflow into our work and lives.

Cost: Early bird (until October 15) Both Friday and Saturday $100; Friday only $15.  After October 15, Friday $20 and Saturday $100.

All events will take place at St. Laurence Anglican Church, 5940 Lakeview Drive SW, Calgary, Alberta.

Dan Hines is Courage & Renewal® Facilitator mentored by Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal.  Dan is a leadership consultant for business, educational and religious organizations, a coach and speaker.  Much of his professional experience has been in ministry as an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Canada.  He also coaches and mentors clergy and faith leaders in association with his colleagues at Companion Way. His approach as a facilitator, priest, consultant and coach is to help others rediscover their integrity and identity.  Recently, Dan has also begun consulting about intentional communities and co-operative living from his ongoing experience with the RareBirds Housing Co-operative, an intentional community in Kamloops, British Columbia, that he co-created with his spouse and nine others.  Dan holds a Master of Divinity and has a background in management, contracting and horticulture.  He feels the most integrated when hiking and camping and always welcomes a good meal with friends.
