“Chasing Chariots”
Through the lens of Philip’s encounter with an Ethiopian official in the Book of Acts, Ryan Sim, will share the story of Redeemer Church, a church plant in the Greater Toronto Area with a unique approach to reaching busy commuters and families, and reflect on the influence of the Institute of Evangelism on his ministry.
Ryan is a priest in the Diocese of Toronto, graduated from Wycliffe College in 2006 with an M.Div.(Hons.) and serves as a church planter in Ajax where he lives with his wife Kristin and their two young sons. Ryan developed a mobile app to connect with and serve the needs of busy commuters called Redeem the Commute, and leads an intergenerational worship community called Redeemer Church’s Family Room.
Ryan leads the planning team for the annual Vital Church Planting Conference  co-sponsored by the Institute of Evangelism, is a member of the Institute’s annual think tank, part of the Fresh Expressions Canada Team, and maintains both organizations’ web sites.
