With Kerrie Perry
Program starts on Friday at 5:30 pm with Dinner and ends on Sunday with lunch.
You are not alone – learn and network with other youth leaders to remind you of this. Together we’ll explore the foundations of intentional youth ministry and how to develop a vibrant, meaningful youth experience. Over the course of the weekend, you will come to greater understanding of the practice of youth ministry and contemporary approaches for living out this specialized ministry in your context. Significant time will be spent learning about different models of youth ministry including relational youth ministry and contemplative youth ministry. We will focus on how to develop and live out a vision for youth ministry. Additional essential topics will be covered over the weekend including Duty of Care, maintaining healthy boundaries, screening volunteers, self-care, and program components to build your toolbox of games and ideas.
Those taking this program toward the NEOS Certificate in Youth Ministry must attend the full weekend in order to receive credit.
Please be aware that NEOS Youth Ministry programs qualify for a Vision Fund First Thirds Bursary from the General Council office. . http://www.united-church.ca/community-faith/being-community/vision-fund
In addition, we encourage you to ask your local congregation, presbytery and Conference to determine if there are funds available to assist you.
