Mid-Winter Convocation – Faith and Science
Jan. 24-26, 2018
Faith and Culture
Ever since the Age of Enlightenment, there has been a tension between the scientific fields and the world’s religions. Today, scientific language permeates all of our media as we grapple with technology, medicine and climate change. Research shows that people tend to hold their religious beliefs separate from their scientific knowledge, keeping us from connecting our worship lives to daily living.
How do we as theological leaders engage in both scientific understanding and faithful proclamation to assist in bridging this gap? Join scholars, scientists, and pastors as we explore the important intersection of faith and science.
