Ecumenical Formation for Specialized Ministries, Bossey, 21-25 September 2015
This seminar for colleagues of specialized ministries offers an introduction to the ecumenical movement, especially the World Council of Churches. The curriculum gives especially to new staff in specialized ministries the opportunity to get to know the ecumenical movement and its organizational expressions and provides possibilities for ecumenical encounter with the WCC and other ecumenical organizations.
The seminar is structured around four elements:
- Information and knowledge on the history of the ecumenical movement, and the different participants within the movement;
- The role of the WCC in ensuring the coherence of the movement;
- Introduction to the Ecumenical Centre and meetings with staff from relevant ecumenical organizations; and common spiritual life in daily worship.
The seminar is led by Mr Marc-Henri Heiniger -Income Monitoring and Development and implemented together with Dr Martin Robra, Bossey Faculty and staff of the specialized ministries as required.
