Winter Session at Naramata Centre began in the late 1940’s and has evolved over the years to respond to an ever evolving society. It has proven to be instrumental in the lives of over a thousand young adults in helping them to discern the ways they can live their life. A recent participant shared why they came to Winter Session.

Natalie MaxsonNatalie Maxson is a world traveler, blogger, peace activist, and public speaker. She has led and has facilitated groups ranging from human rights advocacy, children’s rights, youth leadership to outdoor education. Natalie is also a published author and has run many leadership programs for young adults while based in Geneva at the World Council of Churches from 2004 – 2009.
Wade LiftonWade has studied theatre, theology, youth ministry and social change leadership. At Naramata Centre he has participated in Winter Session, worked on Summer Staff and served on the Board of Directors. His work has included co-founding a rainwater harvesting project in Ghana, and more than a decade of children, youth and young adult ministry in the United Church. A playful and contemplative extravert, Wade believes cookies and dancing are essential to building a better world.
