The McGill Centre for Medicine, Ethics and Law undertakes a broad range of transdisciplinary activities in the field of applied ethics.
Its work comprises three interrelated functions: research; teaching and teaching development; and involvement in the community.
Areas in which it has worked or is working with other academics, students, governmental, non-governmental and international agencies include: the ethical, legal, social and economic impact of HIV/AIDS; genetics, reproductive technologies, ethics and law; genomics, ethics, law and environment; climate change, health, ethics and law; mind, brain, society and ethics; health care, human rights and ethics in zones of armed conflict; and bioethics for a small planet.
